HISTORY: Commercial Battery is the international distribution arm for a family of companies producing lead-related products in northern Mexico since 1975. The business began with secondary smelting of lead scrap. Refining and alloying were soon added. Oxides of lead were first produced for use as pigments. 27 years ago excess lead production was converted for use in captive lead-acid battery production. In subsequent years methods were introduced to recover virtually all materials from battery scrap recycling.

We are a group of modern and dynamic companies dedicated to manufacturing--from lead, lead oxide and plastics--complete batteries of recognized quality, a feat that has been achieved due to strict quality control and constant improvements in technology and production processes. We are in the certification process for ISO 9001-2000 for production processes, as well as ecological ISO 14000.

Our most recent achievement is the manufacture of batteries for vehicles and electric sweepers. Their excellent quality surpasses the requirements of the market as well as the production of plastic components, such as containers, covers and vents through our own technology and designed by the engineering department of the company.

These companies have previously established distributorships in Mexico, Costa Rica and the United States. Now the flow of products, materials and information have been restructured for improved efficiency and service to our customers.

STRUCTURE: Commercial Battery consists of shareholders, general manager, plant managers, external assessors, departments of quality control, health and safety, administration, sales and mixed teams to produce continuing improvements.
